Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from San Salvador: Salvadorenos (#5) and San Salvador (#2). San Salvador was defeated at home 59-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of San Salvador. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Salvadorenos made 10 blocks. Point guard Diego Rivera (175-2007) fired 23 points for the winners. Gerardo Medrano chipped in 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Canadian forward Jonathan Rivera (206-2000, college: York) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Salvadorenos (6-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Santa Tecla. San Salvador at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with A.Lobos.
Leader Metapan delivered the eighth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Brujos (5-4) 91-73. Worth to mention a great performance of Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 assists. Brayan Garcia contributed with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. American guard Brent Kelly (185-2000, college: Nichols, agency: Fully Feared Sports) replied with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for Brujos. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Metapan have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Brujos at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost.

Yoel Cubillas had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners. Metapan's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Diego Gerbaudo responded with 16 points and 7 assists. Metapan have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Santiagueno lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with eight games lost. They share the position with Santa Ana and Ahuachapan.

Rest of the games of round 10 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Ahuachapan was crushed by A.Lobos in a road game 102-48. Cojute was smashed by Santa Tecla at home 75-98. Cojute won against Santa Ana on the opponent's court 86-76.
The best stats of 10th round was 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists by Hector Maldonado of Cojute.



A.Lobos - Ahuachapan 102-48

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Ahuachapan (1-8) was crushed on the road by third ranked A.Lobos (7-2) 102-48 on Tuesday. A.Lobos held Ahuachapan to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Ahuachapan 66-28 including a 47-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. A.Lobos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Ahuachapan's players. Naturalized American center Marc Montavious (202-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Jerome Savoy (185, college: Pfeiffer) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four A.Lobos players scored in double figures. A.Lobos' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Mike Jr. Wright (201, college: Providence, MT, agency: Fully Feared Sports) responded with 32 points and 7 rebounds and American-Laos guard Kadeim Jones (191-1999, college: UWG) scored 6 points. A.Lobos have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with San Salvador. Ahuachapan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Santa Ana and Santiagueno.

Leader Metapan delivered the eighth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Brujos (5-4) 91-73. Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Brujos' 32. Metapan forced 19 Brujos turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 assists. Center Brayan Garcia (200-1998) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. No shocking result in a game in Cojutepeque where fifth ranked Santa Tecla (6-3) smashed 7th ranked Cojute (3-6) 98-75 on Wednesday. Santa Tecla outrebounded Cojute 48-29 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Santa Tecla looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Dominican Xavier dela Rosa (196-1991) scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Eliezer Sanchez chipped in 9 points and 22 rebounds during the contest. Four Santa Tecla players scored in double figures. At the losing side Puerto Rican guard Hector Maldonado (185-1991) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Troidell Carter (206-1991, college: Slippery Rock) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Tecla moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Salvadorenos. Loser Cojute keeps the seventh position with six games lost.

At the losing side American guard Daylon Potts (196, college: Simpson, CA) responded with a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 20 rebounds and 13 assists and Luis Portal (188-1986) scored 20 points. Santa Ana's coach Melvin Marroquin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cojute maintains seventh position with 3-6 record. Loser Santa Ana keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Ahuachapan and Santiagueno.
